- Haidas believe Humans are a direct result of the supernatural and natural. Since Supernatural beings helped create Haida Gwaii and its people, we’ll begin the journey with them - exploring histories such as:
- The Ice Age
- The Flood
- Raven Walking series
- Supernatural Beings coming out of concealment
- Foam Woman
- JiiLAA KUNS
- Though these stories tell mostly of our past, Supernatural beings continue to affect our world today, and we accept them as a part of our daily lives.
Haida were so intertwined with the
supernatural world before contact that
we used to have to sing and dance hard
to prove to others we were human.
- Dynamic, theatrical, and dramatic displays are achieved by using exhibit techniques that create the illusion of ‘supernatural’ environments - where things can appear and disappear - as if by magic.
