How to Get Here
It is easier to get here than you think!

The Haida Heritage Centre at Kaay Llnagaay is located in the community of Skidegate on Graham Island, one of the two main islands in the Queen Charlotte Islands (Haida Gwaii), which is a scenic archipelago of over 150 islands separated from the BC Mainland by Hecate Strait.

The other main island is Moresby Island to the south, where Sandspit Airport is located.

From Prince Rupert by Ferry

BC Ferries operates the Queen of Prince Rupert, which sails from Prince Rupert to Skidegate Landing (Graham Island).  There are frequent sailings - reservations are required for this route.  Please check the BC Ferries website for sailing dates and times, and book well in advance during the peak summer season (June 12 to Sept 18, 2008).  For more information on reservations, fares and schedules, please call BC Ferries at 1-888-223-3779 or visit their website at www.bcferries.com for exact times.

From Prince Rupert by Seaplane

There is also seaplane service between Prince Rupert and Masset (daily); and between Prince Rupert, Sandspit, and Queen Charlotte City (3 times a week: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday).  Contact North Pacific Seaplanes at 1-800-689-4234 or www.northpacificseaplanes.com.

Highway 16 (part of the Yellowhead Highway) leads west from Skidegate to Queen Charlotte City; or, north to Tlell, Port Clements, and Masset.  It only takes an hour-and-a-half to drive Highway 16 from south to north on Graham Island.
