Pole Tour
Join us as we visit some of the thirteen totem poles
at Kaay Llnagaay and learn about some of the crests
and stories that are displayed on each pole.
Weaving Tour Learn about the four main styles of Haida weaving. From Gathering to processing through to weaving, learn how the practice has evolved over the years with traditional materials including cedar bark, spruce root and wool.
Canoe Tour There is variety of traditional Haida cedar canoes
at the Heritage Centre and Museum. A tour guide
will utilize the Haida canoes on site as an entry point
into understanding Haida culture, focusing on Bill Reid's
famous 50 foot canoe Loo Taas.
Outbound Tour Take a trip in a Haida canoe, paddling out in the inlet with other visitors and a guide. This trip is weather dependant
and takes about an hour, leaving at high tide.
